Almanac                
Book of facts on many different subjects that is printed yearly, Online almanacs are updated more often than the printed almanac.  You can use the index, browse the topics or enter a search depending on which type you are using.

Dictionary            
Includes pronunciation keys, part of speech, definition, and online versions will pronounce the word for you.

Encyclopedia         
Contains articles about a wide range of topics.  Use the index to look up topics in the printed version or search for a topic when using an online encyclopedia.

Atlas                    
A collection of maps and statistics about places in the World.

Thesaurus             
A type of dictionary that identifies synonyms and antonyms for a word.  Good source for writers to use a variety of words.
